Meet a few of our Tour Directors:
Ian McKinven --- frequent director of Unforgettable Italy
“My love affair with Italy began in the medieval village of San Gimignano--- the first Italian city I ever visited. The allure of Tuscany is powerful here, as you walk along the medieval streets to the piazza della cisterna and look out to the hills filled with girasole --- sunflowers. I fell in love with it!”
Ricardo Panareo --- frequent director of Grand Italia
“A favorite for every traveler is the Italian gelato. When in Rome I can’t resist a “truffle” in Piazza Navona, in Capri, a lemon granite is a must on a hot day, in San Gimignano it’s the tiny gelateria in Piazza della Cisterna, and in Florence, one must have a nice cone at Vivoli near Sante Croce Square!”
Chantal Boutet --- frequent director of Grand Tour de France
“Our first stop in Provence, Avignon, is one of my favorite parts of the Grand Tour de France. There is a distinctive Italian flavor to the city, complete with a warm climate, wonderful food, and the relaxed pace typical of Southern France. The French may know how to enjoy life; in Avignon, we all do.”
Alex Golovko
--- frequent director of Imperial Russia and the Baltic States
“It is a real treat to take my visitors to the Kremlin---for most people it is something they have heard about all their lives, or seen in the movies. It’s a treat to be able to see it in real life in all of its impressive beauty, and we really get a great tour!”
Dawn Hutchinson
--- frequent director of Switzerland and Glacier Express
“The cheese for our fondue is made in the Gruyere, a town in the dairy area of Switzerland. They add a touch of cherry liqueur to the cheese---it is scrumptious. Be careful who you sit by at the fondue---if you drop your bread in the cheese, you have to kiss the person next to you!”
George Zachas---frequent director of Greek Island & Istanbul Cruise
“My fancy is Ephesus: archeology at its best! The ancient city, built by Greeks and conquered by Romans, was buried by an earthquake. It is a mind-boggling experience The only down-side is any other archeological site is slightly disappointing after Ephesus.”
