| Arrive in Italy’s capital, Rome, for a relaxing two-night stay. This evening enjoy a Welcome Drink with your Tour Director and meet your fellow travel companions. |
| Day 3 Rome |

This morning experience a very special, privately guided tour with your local expert of the priceless collection of art and treasures found in the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museum. See the beautiful frescoes created by Michelangelo, Perugino and Botticelli and marvel at the unique ceiling of the Sistine Chapel - surely one of Michelangelo’s greatest achievements. Visit St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the Christian world, before continuing on to the famous Colosseum. See the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus of Ben Hur fame en route. The evening is at leisure to take a stroll through medieval Rome, see the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, or throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain.

| Day 4 Rome - Assisi - Florence |

Today we journey north to the hilltop village of Assisi to visit the amazing 13th-century Basilica of St. Francis with its impressive fresco paintings. Then, it’s on to a pleasant two-night stay in Florence, capital of Tuscany and home of the Renaissance! Our guided sightseeing tour includes Signoria Square and the Baptistry followed by a highlight visit to the Accademia to view Michelangelo's magnificent statue of David. This evening, enjoy the freedom of your Dine-Around program, and choose from a selection of restaurants recommended by your Tour Director.

This morning we visit Santa Croce Basilica followed by time free to explore this historic city.

| Day 6 Florence - Pisa - Venice |

We travel to Pisa this morning to view the famous Leaning Tower before continuing on to magical Venice for two relaxing nights!

| Day 7 Venice |

The finest way to absorb Venice’s unusual sights and sounds and unique Byzantine atmosphere is on an included canal cruise. Our private boat takes you to St. Mark’s Square to view the Bridge of Sighs and Doge’s Palace. Watch traditional Venetian glassblowers at work and later enjoy a gondola ride through the Venetian canals. Your afternoon is at leisure.

| Day 8 Venice - Baveno |

This morning we head across the plains of Lombardy to the spectacular Italian Lake District. Tonight, we enjoy a Highlight Farewell Dinner in Isola Bella, one of the beautiful Borromean Islands of Lake Maggiore with splendid views of the surrounding Alps. A truly magnificent setting to remember bella Italia!
