| After your arrival in Paris, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon before tonight’s Welcome Drink with your Tour Director and your new traveling companions. Later, perhaps take a tour of the illuminations of this magnificent city; by night, Paris cannot be matched. |
| Day 3 Paris |

Our local guide will show us the Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, the Opera and the magnificent Gothic Cathedral of Notre Dame. After a highlight visit to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, your afternoon is at leisure to relax in a sidewalk cafe, seek out masterpieces at the Louvre, or stroll through the Bohemian district of Montmartre. In the evening, why not enjoy the glamour of a Parisian Cabaret?

| Day 4 Paris - Beaune - Lucerne |

Today we leave Paris and head towards the vineyards of Burgundy with a stop in the quaint town of Beaune. Continue over the old Maginot Line to Switzerland and our hotel in the lakeside town of Lucerne. This evening, enjoy the freedom of your Dine-Around program, and choose from a selection of restaurants recommended by your Tour Director.

Medieval heritage is around every corner! View the impressive city wall with its multiple watchtowers and marvel at the decorated covered bridge. Next, we visit the famous Lion Monument, the masterful stone sculpture in honor of the heroic Swiss Guard of Louis XVI. At leisure you might join an optional trip to nearby Mt. Stanserhorn, famed for its splendid views of surrounding peaks and lakes.

| Day 6 Lucerne - Liechtenstein - Innsbruck - Salzburg |

We stop in the tiny Principality of Liechtenstein before heading into Austria and on to Innsbruck, the two-time Olympic city and capital of the Austrian Tyrol region. See the Golden Roof and Maria Theresia Avenue before continuing to Salzburg, where our guided sightseeing tour includes Sound of Music locations in the old town and the birthplace of Mozart.

| Day 7 Salzburg - Venice |

After free time to shop in the famous 'Getreidegasse' or explore the outskirts of this great musical city, we head south through the beautiful Austrian Lake District before continuing along the fertile plains of the Veneto region of Italy. We soon arrive at the Adriatic coast and our hotel in Mestre.

| Day 8 Venice |

The finest way to absorb Venice’s unusual sights, sounds and unique Byzantine atmosphere is on an included canal cruise to St. Mark’s Square to view the Bridge of Sighs and Doge’s Palace. Also featured is a glass-blowing demonstration where you’ll watch Venetian craftsmen fashion their delicate objects in an age-old manner. In your free-time, leisurely wander the narrow streets of Venice, or take that hard-to-resist gondola ride. Perhaps join an optional tour to Burano, one of the many islands in the Venetian lagoon.

| Day 9 Venice - Florence |

This morning we travel over the River Po through Emilia Romagna, the bread bin of Italy, and into the Appenine Mountains at Bologna. We arrive late morning in Florence. Afternoon sightseeing explores the impressive open air museum of Signoria Square, the great Cathedral and its
Baptistry’s 'Doors of Paradise' plus Santa Croce, final resting place of great Florentines such as Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli and Rossini. A panoramic drive will also take us to Michelangelo Square, with views of Ponte Vecchio. Enjoy free time to shop for leather and gold before we head to our hotel. This evening enjoy a Highlight Dinner in the Tuscan Hills.

| Day 10 Florence - Rome |

A morning at leisure to enjoy this cradle of the Renaissance. In your free time perhaps visit the Accademia to view Michelangelo’s magnificent statue of David, relax in one of the elegant sidewalk cafes, or enjoy a real Italian 'gelato' in the old town before departing for the Eternal City, Rome.

A full day at leisure to explore this mecca of art and history. You may wish to join an optional tour to Sorrento and the ruins of Pompeii, the Roman city, both destroyed and preserved by an eruption of the Volcano, Vesuvius, almost 2,000 years ago.

Ancient Rome is filled with historic sights. Our local guide takes us to visit the Colosseum, site of gladiatorial combats and early Circus Maximus in the shadow of the Palatine Hill. We then arrive at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City for a visit to this celebrated site.This evening enjoy a Highlight Dinner in a local restaurant.
